When traveling abroad, there are so many cultural quirks that you notice when you come in with an American perspective. India was no exception. Among so many crazy things I saw (e.g., cows just chilling on the side of the highways), I also noticed some less glaring subtleties.
Spotted in a home decor boutique, this ‘set’ of accessories was a strange sight to see. I had to ask the store clerk what that matching pouch-looking thing was. Turns out it’s a tea cozy! I guess it makes sense in a culture that drinks do much tea. Just glad I didn’t try to wear it as a hat…
